I couldn't help remembering this film where an older man takes advantage of a younger man. Somehow, this had regular distribution in 1995 but "Behind The Candelabra" couldn't get regular theatrical distribution in 2013! And it had major stars. And it had salacious scenes of both skinny men rolling around with each other, for Heaven's Sake, there is even a brief shot of the older man's organ!
I think there are MANY common elements of this story and the story of Liberace and Scott Thorson.
Young men (and young women, for that matter) are uncommonly beautiful. The attraction of younger men to older men is well known throughout history (it's a "mentor" thing, or a co-dependent disaster.)
What is rare are stories of the younger men who were attracted to older men. I think Rimbaud was briefly attracted to Verlaine for his knowledge.

Just goes to show you how much things have changed since 1995.
