    It would be amazing! The scenery in this movie is fantastic. I have the region 2 DVD and it looks okey, and actually has a surround track even if the back of then case doesn't say so.

      Agreed. Of all of the garbage that has been released on Bluray, this is a fantastic movie that deserves it. The story, scenery, and music is awesome.

        I'd love to have this gem on Bluray! I was unlucky in that my DVD had the Director's audio track messed up. I understand that it was eventually fixed but I must've purchased and returned close to ten copies of it.
        I've lived without for many years, but I don't consider it a great loss since the picture was anamorphically enhanced and just could not stand Wilford Brimley's narration. No offence to him but it just seemed horribly out of place and didn't help the film at all.
        I do continue to enjoy David Arnold's score CD. Wonderful and lush recording of a wonderful and lush score!

          Sorry, meant to say that the disc was NOT anamorphically enhanced.
