I was reading this blog, listing his top 10 favorite films and this one ranked on the list, but do you think it's fairly listed or not?

It's great, just re-watched last night. An underrated classic, and a great film for fathers to take their sons to I'd think. Some themes that are adult enough for both child and parent to enjoy.

It's definitely in my top 10, probably just outside the top 5

I disliked this movie as a kid but now have a great appreciation for its strong characters believable plot, reliability and the beautiful colours and animation involved.
So my subjective opinion is that it is one of those times where an experiment got the attention it needed to be something just brilliant; departing from the old fairytale format we are used to (not that disney doesn't do that a lot but not so much within animation; it's a very down to earth story).
So i would not object to that.
