This movie is watchable if you have patience, but it's definitely not worth the current rating of 7.7. I give it a 5 (at best).

For those of us who are blessed with the virtue of patience, it is easily worth that. I give it a 9.

I, for one, love slow-paced movies. And a slow-paced movie with an ensemble cast, directed by Jim Jarmusch, scored by Neil Young and filled with some humour and metaphysical overtones deserves 10/10 in my book. Actually, having seen it about 20 times, it's currently my favourite film of all time. And I saw it almost 20 years ago for the first time!

I saw it for the first time last night and give it a solid 8. The weirdest western I've seen, cameos galore, loads of metaphors, great performances all round, very funny and I love it when I stick an unknown film on and am surprised by the quirkiness.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

If being a weird western is a good thing to you, you should watch 'Greaser's Palace' (1972), directed by Robert Downey Sr. (I love it.)
