It's called "This is Not My Life."
The catch is that it's only being aired in New Zealand. If you can find the episodes online, watch it. The show is excellent and works with themes of identity loss, paranoia, conspiracy, etc., similar to Nowhere Man and The Prisoner.

I must look into this series, I live in NZ but didnt manage to catch this whilst it aired on TVNZ, only have heard good things about this show so thanks for the recommendation
