just a question were the sex scenes in band of gold designed to attract male audience ie the soft porn industry ie as films like showgirls and barb wire? i never understood whom the makers were targetting ie there target audience. can anyone shed light on the subject. and in your opinion if sum 1 is turned on by these scences is there sumthin wrong with them sexually. thanx agen

It seems to me that it would be impossible to make a series with a background in the vice industry without having sez scenes,but if you actually watch the series then you see that there are few sex scenes and the ones that are shown are usually shoer and not especially sexy.
It would be easy to make a series on this subject which was full of sex and violence but this was not the case with this one. -

does that mean that they are supposed to be both sexy and sleazy or one or the other?

i think so, all the people who have sex with whores in this programme fit into the dirty old men stereotype. what i couldnt understand is why certain people use prostitutes surely they must be full of disease and loose down below.

I barely remember any sex scenes at all.except Rose and her date in bed in London, which was quite fleeting and very modest.
None of the clients are exposed when they're visiting the womenand I wouldn't really consider them sex scenes, as they're rather clinical.
