So he took a squad of american soldiers across the border, plus one of them was kind of starting a rucus, which would result in being thrown out (hopefully)
even though they were only on training status the General public of the State of michigan and of Canada would not really know the diffrence

No, of course not. Just as off-duty Marines and Sailors have gone across the border at Tijuana.
The other evening, in down San Diego, I saw a number of off duty members of the Mexican Navy enjoying an evening on the town.
Though, as I write this, I'm not certain whether or not crossing the border is off limits to American military personnel. -

I'd say no. It's not like they were armed. And border security did let them in. They could have been ROTC for that matter. Clothes are just clothes. I'm sure Canada didn't regard their field trip as an incursion on a theater in Stratford, ON.
