    This one is
. It was so out of left field. Anyone have an explanation from the director about it.

Wasn't the whole movie cool, weird, and inexplicable? So many scenes like that had no real meaning. They seemed to be dredged from Tarantino's subconscious where a conglomeration of every crazy movie he'd ever seen was waiting to be brought to life again. I loved every minute of it.

No I didn't think so. The plot was logical and realistic except the chase leading up to the capture and rape in broad daylight like that inside of a gun shop. Wasn't it a gun shop?

Dude, "Pulp Fiction" itself is a reference to a story without a real story. 😋 If you really think about it, the plot doesn't really drive you anywhere. The characters just do stuff and it doesn't really have any real conclusion in a "Hollywood way".
It's a story about two gangster who go to get a case of which we never know the content and we never really know what was the point to carry it. Another guy is a fighter who made a deal to lose a fight but didn't follow the rules. We never really know his backstory or what connection he had with the boss, and we don't know why losing the fight was so important and we don't really know how things ended for him after he left town with his girlfriend.
Everything happens but without any real outcome like Hollywood loves it. And this is one of the many reasons why this movie is awesome. 😋

The scene is meant to parallel the story of Butch's father and Captain Koons' time as POW's (prisoners of war). Butch has to live up to the family name as being worthy of the Gold Watch his father had went through to give it to him. Throughout the film he's displayed as being this cold, selfish person who only cares about himself, as evidenced by double crossing Marsellus Wallace, killing Floyd and showing no remorse for it.
So when him and the big man find themselves in serious trouble and when Butch frees himself, he's left with two choices: leave Marsellus in that hellhole or save him. By going with the latter, not only does Butch redeem himself, he finally lives up to his father's name. Remember what Captain Koons told him when he visited him as a kid? He said, and I quote, "Hopefully, you'll never have to experience this yourself, but when two men are in a situation like me and your dad were, for as long as we were, you take on certain responsibilities of the other." Just like his father, Butch went through so much to retrieve the watch, even risking his own life in the process. He values the watch so much. So while it's a weird scene, it's a very important scene.
The film's main theme is redemption. All three main protagonists are given with the choice to redeem themselves. Both Butch and Jules seize the opportunity, Vincent doesn't, and he pays with his life.
Also, it was a pawnshop, not a gun shop.

Did anyone discuss movies this way before I stepped on the scene at imdb? When I arrived at imdb they couldn't even figure the plot to a one movie. Since there has been a trend of movie analysis, movie break downs, plot synopsis, character synopsis and spoilers, and commentary and so forth.
I got NOTHING BUT DRAMA INSTEAD.
                Fuck you.

Nobody made any real money from doing all those things I did: reviewing movies, analyzing them. They didn't make much money making YouTube videos and suggestions. Thanks for letting me I had been wasting my life away. Then I got cyber stalked and trolled. Yeah…nice community you got there.
