The Adam Sandler character
Is he Gay? I'm not asking in a mean way but it's rather odd that he seemed to be smitten with Catherine and then he suddenly took romantic interest in Chris (Liev Schreiber) who's very much a male physically.

I thought that, and then I was thinking maybe he's just super naive and think that's a woman with a deep booming voice because he does refer to Chris as "Her" at one point. Idk, I wish Nora Ephron made that a little more clear (or showed signs that he likes either sex) because as a viewer that seems to come out of left field.
