Dolores kill Joe? I know she sent her home early to murder Joe, but I was wondering if she had an idea of how she could do it and get away with it

No; Vera only suggested that "accidents" sometimes happen.

It's been 2 years, but I'll respond anyway.
I really think Vera helped Dolores plan on how to murder Joe even though we don't see it in the film. I say this b/c Vera seemed to genuinely care when Dolores tells her what's going on.
The "HAS HE beep HER YET?!" quote by Vera illustrates that.

That makes sense. They certainly had a very unconventional love story, but which is really beautiful. I almost feel guilty that I ever thought Dolores pushed her down the stairs

Haha, I know there are no statue of limitations on posts/replies, but I wasn't sure anyone would read or respond to my post.
              I guess I was wrong 😉
I felt bad about thinking Dolores was ever malicious towards Vera as well (even though that is what we are tricked into believing at the start)
It made me happy that Dolores & Vera were so close as it seemed all they had was each other. They were both widows and while Dolores' daughter never spoke to her, Vera was childless.
