Did everyone catch that it was Renee Zellweger, before she became famous, who played the fan who came to Lane's motel room and presumably had the affair with him?

Yes I certainly did recognize Renee Zellweger as the "buckle bunny"
groupie! I'm sure that many viewers didn't know who she was at
