1.) Blacks are not responsible for their actions. It's all cause and effect at the hands of white people.
2.) Violent, brutal criminals are to be sympathized with.
3.) If you're a single mother, it's a great idea to continually invite over a murderer who lets your child play with a gun around the house. It's also a great idea to have all local gangsters over to your house for a party while simultaneously trying to keep your child in their room to prevent them from seeing it.
4.) When you're being shot during a drive-by, the best thing you can do is run towards someone they aren't shooting at, drawing the hail of bullets with you and ironically putting them directly at risk while trying to protect them.
Before you anyone points out that not all films out there are meant to necessarily make any sort of political or philosophical point, this one does. It's an attempt to make the audience sympathize with these characters and understand them and why they are the way they are, and that's the problem.

Interesting. Can't wait to see what you've learned from Goodfellas.

          1. When someone gets shot, no matter what kind of gun is used the bullet goes through the person and everything else behind and their guts fly out 50 feet in the air and your brain comes out the back of your head.

Aint none of that stuff the original poster said about this film was the intended points.
The Hughes Brothers (directors and producers of the film) were trying to show how it is growing up in the hood when you're not given a chance from day one of being anything more than a dope dealer, gang member, etc.
Some dudes in the hood got the strengths mentally and physically to rise up from the trappings of the hood and be somebody or someone productive. But there are many who don't like Caine in this film.
People come on this board and others concerning films of serious crime/drama/coming of age boards; and I understand it's a free country with free speech, but with all these silly comments on what is an otherwise serious and socially conscious film is just absurd.
The Hughes Brothers and I've seen quite a bit of their films (Dead Presidents to name a few), are always so graphic with violence but they do that to get you the viewer to understand that crime don't pay and it's a brutal life.
The way Caine got killed at the end is an accurate depiction of someone pumping a gang of bullets into yo chest. There aint nothing Hollywood about that.
And blood and guts shooting 50 feet in the air? Where'd you get that crap from Metsiavelli?

              1. O Dog's Glock19 will transform into a Sig P226 occasionally.
              2. Desert Eagles have little to no recoil.
              3. If you get your story about when you bought the beer messed up, you done f ked up. You know you done f ked up.
              4. Small revolvers usually hold 5 to 6 rounds. But it goes up to 8 if Samuel L Jackson holds it.
              5. The toilet is a white porcelain god. Puking into it on your knees is an act of praying to it.
              6. If Caine robbing someone of their drive thru meal and rims on their car is too complicated to show, skip it and assume it all worked in Caine's favor.
              7. If you offer a blow job for drugs, you will probably get shot.
              8. Double cheese burgers are much more valuable then regular hamburgers.
              9. Shotgun shots are followed by a loud comical splatter noise.

How did you (MANAGE to) learn so much about (ALL?) Black People from ONE Fictitious Film?
What other Fictitious Films taught you about an entire Race or Ethnic Group of People?
Rich Man Poor Man, Birth of a Nation, The GodFather, Animal House, The WaterBoy, ScarFace, It's a Mad Mad World, Casino, Ferris Bueller, The HangOver, Talladega Nights, The Usual Suspects, BrokeBack Mountain, Kill Bill, Casino, The Postman Always Rings Twice,
