Why do some newspapers DOXX family members of criminals?

I see it all the time, a guy kills someone and it makes headline news, depending on the nature of the murder the press may reach out to a relative of the killer for comment, and they always seem to DOXX this person
' The sister of the accused, Katie Harper of Example street, claims her brother has been mentally ill for years blah blah blah '
WHY do they do this? of what importance is the street she lives on? All you are doing is putting her at risk for revenge attacks
It boggles my mind every time I see it because i cannot imagine the people they doxx WANT to be doxxed ya know? And they are legally allowed to do this too, but WHY do they do it? It is so bizzare.

Daily Mail headline would read
The sister of the accused, Katie Harper, who lives in a £150,000 house on Example street, claims her brother has been mentally ill for years blah blah blah

Yeah you are right, I have seen examples of exactly that too, property details despite the fact it is completely unrelated to the nature of the article. They do bring up some weird stats on folks
