      I was just checking out the price at Amazon Only $9.99. A year a go it was out of print and going for $75.00 and up !

          The DVD is OOP.
          You can't just go into a store and buy it. You can only purchase the movie on certain sites.
          You can't go to a site like deepdiscount or best buy or where ever. You can only purchase it from people who own it and now wish to sell it.
          That is why the price is so high. I have a copy I recorded off Sci-Fi, granted there are commercials and cuts made, but it's better than nothing.
          No way in hell I would spend that much for a DVD. Unless Carpenter himself delivers it.
