They should bring Andy Sipowicz on Blue Bloods as a tribute. I think that they could use him as a helpful, retired, detective. Might help him get back in the acting scene; if that's what he'd like to do

They should bring Andy Sipowicz on Blue Bloods as a tribute
.
Through the wonderful world of streaming, I just got caught up on Blue Bloods and I luv the show. Have not watched this season yet. When I started watching Blue Bloods, and I saw Det Martinez on playing a SGT it fit-even though he plays a diff character's name. When Martinez left NYPD Blue in 2000 he made SGT. Fast forward 10 yrs later he is playing (was playing) a SGT. Now I dont see how Sipowicz would fit into the plot on Blue Bloods. Andy, imo, was "comfortable" being a Det at the 15 Precinct. To fast forward his role and bring him on Blue Bloods as Det Sipowicz-naw, I cant see it. Unless of course you have Det Danny Regan and Sipowicz bump heads-
now that I can see. -

I don't watch Blue Bloods, but my mother does, and she told me that Nick Tuturro was on the show. I then watched part of an episode, and there he was as a patrol sgt., except like someone else said it was a different character than James Martinez. Too bad, would have been a cool shout out. If they didn't want to use the Martinez character, they could have done it subtly, like in his first episode, give him a throwaway line like, "I just transferred over from the One-Five"
Oh well. -

I can't see bringing him on as Andy, since Martinez is on the show, but I'd love to see him come back as a retired detective. Maybe even the former Chief of Police before Frank Reagan (can't remember his name, they just mentioned him recently).

A retired Sipowicz could show up because a cold case of his would be reopened. And of course, he would butt heads with Danny and company over how to do things. It's a social media world; would love to see Sipowicz deal with Twitter, Instagram, Skype, cloud computing, et al.
May I bone your kipper, Mademoiselle? -

Speaking of Blue Bloods, I'm watching Season 7, Episode 7 "Along Came Jones" and I see Linda Reagan on here, playing a detective whose partner was killed.
Can you explain what you mean by your statement?
