Seriously, this movie is great. It's absolutely laugh-until-your-sides-hurt funny, and has a great cast. I think the only people who don't like this movie are the ones who take film (and life) far too seriously. Sometimes movies are made just to be funny and silly, and this is definately one of them.
But then, I think any movie with Jon Lovitz is great. So I may be biased.
~I'm not exactly sure what I'm trying to say above, but I'm sure it's profound. That's how I roll.~

Must agree. Silly as hell, and a memorably good time.

I liked it too. Me and my little nephew saw it in 1991 in an empty theater. He laughed like a hyena. This weekend I watched the DVD I paid a fiver for some time ago and realised I still like this stuff myself. Much better than given credit for. Like a Chuck Jones/Dr. Seuss cartoon in live action.

Agreed! I watched this ages ago when I was much, much younger, and loved it then - I'm watching it right now and I love it just the same at 22!!

          Wait, what?

Couldn't have said it better myself. "Tod, Tod, Tod, Tod"

"I dwell in darkness without you" and it
            went away?

I saw this again tonight after a long time, logged on to IMDB to give it a very high rating, and was shocked at how low it's average rating is! The film is incredibly endearing. The comedy has a very broad range; with even some dirty jokes here and there that are just vague enough to keep it family friendly. To me, this is what family entertainment should be. Children can enjoy it as a cartoonish romp, teens and college aged people should appreciate the absurdity and little dirty laughs here and there, and older people should appreciate the jokes about married life and nature of love. There's even a fart joke! How can you not enjoy this film?

I completely agree with you. I was actually going to post this until I saw it was already written, this movie is very underrated. I watch it everytime it's on t.v. it's hilarious and I love Jon Lovitz!

I found this movie to be funnier the more I watch it. It's clearly made for kids, but after showing to my 20-something friends, we laughed for hours. One of them even turned running into doors into an artform seen on New Year's Eve. That's what reminded me of the movie.
                  You know, you could excercise.

This movie is the best I have seen, I saw it with my brother a few years ago and we laughed until we couldn't breathe. I have the DvD and watch it often.

I haven't even seen the movie on shelves or on tv for the past years. The best I can remember is the killer mushrooms that freaked me out as a kid the when I saw them the first time. They kinda remind me of Goombas from the Mario games now. Also remember that funny part with the "pick me up" bomb. Guess this is just one of those family comedies that's bound to be lost to the sands of time with a few peeps occasionly remembering bits and pieces.

I actually saw it on HBO a couple months ago.
I think it was on HBO-Family.
That was the first time I saw it, I love it!

Yeah I also first saw it on HBO, back when I still had it. Sadly I haven't had the major movie channels for a while due to billing problems a while back.

This movie is freaking awesome! I think it is way better then Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Amd The Godfather combined. I try to watch it once a day. The only other film that I think even comes close to this is THe Land Beofore Time 3.
