I can't find on IMDB the actor that actually played Doris' dad. It says Ed Quinn played Mr. Murphy (uncredited) but when I pull up Ed Quinn its a different person. Doris is Rosie O'Donnell and her father is shown at the end of the movie saying he'll take Doris out for a steak dinner. Thanks

Why do you think it's not him? IMDB is not the only source that identifies him:

Well, there must be two "Ed Quinns" then, because the only Ed Quinn I was able to find is currently 48 years old. The gentlemen in question from the film is at least 50ish years old
in 1992 when this film was made
