    I love the house! I'd love to know who the set designer or architect was. Was it a permanent structure for a real use or was it built just for the movie?

      The house was built as a standing set in Concord, Massachusetts. It was torn down soon after filming ended.

          It wasn't a real house but a set built from an existing architectural design that is still available. The architect was given in the closing credits but because it was a set and some modifications were made to the actual plans the architect did not receive a fee. This information is available online:
