and decided to make this movie a flop in the last week of filming? It's the only explanation. The real mystery is why so many people involved in the movie didn't want it to be good.

What makes you think anyone involved in the movie didn't want it to be good? And how do you MAKE a movie be a flop? People are either going to see it or they're not. Have you seen the Transformers movies? All terrible, and they made gazillions of dollars.
And you obviously wouldn't agree, but I thought Shattered was a good movie, if a little predictable.
