Ok it's not a great movie, not even a good one. But when I saw it in the theater, I was 9. So all the poopoo jokes were funny at the time. I realize that a grown-up who watches this movie for the first time won't think much of it. But as a kiddie movie, I think it's ok. To hear that John Travolta is a big penis is funny to a kid.

I just saw it for the first time as a grown up and thought it was good.

I don't understand the hate for this movie. OK, I was three or four when I first saw it, but I loved it just as I loved the first movie. It was the third film that exhausted the premise (no disrespect to Diane Keaton or Danny DeVito) and had a stupid "the parents' marriage is threatened" subplot. But anything that pairs Kirstie Alley and John Travolta in their prime is entertaining. I enjoyed his dance, the brother and sister sentimentality, Roseanne's voice, and when they all dance after Mikey pees in the potty the first time. I feel ridiculous even while typing it, but I guess it's a guilty pleasure at the very least, and not so inferior to the first film.

It's not a bad movie, it just isn't especially goodand totally lacked the charm of the original.
