Whats with the beard?

Are we supposed to believe the beard has grown becuase he is in a coma?
First of all a beard would be much longer than that after 7 years and second, both sides of his face are clean shaven, hes just got an over grown goatee

The nurse shaved him that way. You don't leave a patient's beard growing for 7 years.

I think the point was.why would a nurse shave a comatose patients beard into ridiculous 5 inch goatee? Perhaps a clean shave would have been more appropriate? Fortunately he didnt have time to look in a mirror because the hitman arrived at the exact time he came around.2555 days after the shooting.

I crack up laughing when his beard nearly falls off when they are sitting on the couch. You see when he breathes, it comes of his left side of his face where his moustache is. They didn't do a great job with it there!

Yeah I thought it was a miraculous coincedence his hitman just happened to appear the exact moment he regained consciencness after like 7 years.

Dumbasses, the hitman showed up because the nurse called the cops, who were all in the senator's pocket. That was why they faked his death to start with

Yes, always thought about that beard. Some dedicated nurse to shave him so expertly like that, as if they didnt have more important things to do. Segal must have seen this before final editing

Too bad they didn't let Danny the physical therapist groom him.
He was going to fix up Storm with pizza and pie, so I bet he would have given him the James Brolin type beard trim because he was such a caring guy.
