I watched a US DVD of this last night but feel I can remember a missing scene from the UK version I watched a few years ago, but I might be wrong, hoping someone can help me.
When Tennyson is talking to the mother of the Lost Child on the stairs towards the end, the mother is saying something like, she was screaming and screaming, and I can remember from UK that Tennyson is then telling her about her own recent termination and her reasons for terminating the pregnancy.
    Am I wrong?
Would be so greatful if anyone could help me.

I saw this play as televised version out of Boston PBS and then own a copy that I have watched
I think I remember her saying at some point something like I know what you are going through
but don't think Jane T would ever reveal something like having an abortionshe has not told ANYONE about thatalthough there are periodic oblique references to what she did in later shows
"That's the beauty of argument, Joey. If you argue correctly, you're never wrong"
