Andie McDowell may end up with the good guy at the end, but the fact that her sister was betraying her behind her back was pathetic. AND she went to see Spader too, if not just to do the videotaping. I appreciated this film's raw dialogue and simplicity with just four main characters- but the sister seemed to be so backstabbing. Her only regaining moment was ending the relationship with Ann's husband in the end, but again- did she do it for Ann, or her own selfish needs?
The film is still a sizzling exploration in relationships and infidelity. Andie McDowell's finest work.

People who have a high sex drive and want sex will do whatever it takes to get it.
Even if that is banging the sister or bros huz or wife or whomever they can get it from and are attracted to
Not justifying that for her just saying why she did what she did.
She did want John since there was an attraction but I thought their break up scene was weird and I didn't pick up on why she was done with him.
To me this and him probably losing his job were cop outs just to get back at a sleazy character with karma.
Where in real life wife cheaters can be winners and not lose their side lay or their jobs.
But this is a movie and he was the bad guy and so he has to get his comeuppance.
Prob. for punching out Spader and bragging that he banged his college GF.
So he was a bitter ****er but life is not always fair to those who are not.
