I think this movie will be forever known for the scene where the Lambo (replica) jump/skips over the pond.

It kind of set the tone for the entire movie, didn't it? 🙂

Yeah, you can pretty much turn the movie off after the skip across the pond. It's the only thing worthwhile in this pile of dreck.
Does anyone know how they pulled that jump off?

They may have had a platform in the movie, but if you saw the episode of mythbusters where the build team (Jessie Combs filling in for Kari Byron on maternity leave) tested it they showed that it could be done.
They called it busted because you could not do it at 55mph, but they forgot that the cars were racing in the movie and running 80-90 or higher not 55. The team did not use a Lamborghini because nobody was willing to risk one, but they used a 15 year old car with similar body specs fitted it with nos and remote control and skipped across a 100 ft pond they built .

I just finished watching that episode of Mythbusters. The conclusion they came to was that the stunt wouldn't work as shown in the movie or with a stock Lamborghini. They determined that the cars are too front heavy. With the weight redistributed to the back and the ramp removed from the road it worked wonderfully.
