I was in grade school from the mid 80's to the early 90's and i remember "singing" this song at school, but i don't quite remember if it was before or after this movie came out. So i don't know if me and my friends got the song from this movie, or the song itself was invented before this movie and was popular enough to make it into the movie. Does anyone know if this movie actually invented the song? Also, is there proof?

No, we sang it in camp years before. Yeah, I know Kevin learned it in camp too. But we didn't use baseball terms.
