Well, based on the reviews I read on amazon, I just went out and bought this movie for about $5. I was expecting a Creepshow/Tales From The Crypt/Tales From The Darkside kinda flick. It started off great, but once the stories began, the wheels fell off. The acting, the music, the open ended stories, and a surprising lack of gore helped this movie suck harder than it should have. I expect movies like this to be kind of cheesy, but in a good way. No offense, but I can't believe how many people actually liked this piece of beep A waste of time and money. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go watch Creepshow and hopefully erase this movie from my memory.

I think this is a great movie. I mean, it's no Creepshow, but it's very enjoyable in it's own right. There are a few parts in it that actually creep me out.
If you like it violent, we can play rough & tumble.

I also thought this was a better-than-average movie. Nothing will ever be Creepshow, because Creepshow is Creepshow. But this movie did not bite, the acting was not bad (outright), and as a matter of fact I did think it was Tales from the Crypt-like. It's certainly scarier than the tv show version of Friday the 13th. Anyone remember that?

I was disappointed, at first, because I was expecting something more "supernatural", but after viewing it as it is, it isn't bad. Other than the ending(which is supernaturally/dream-like strange), I liked how all the stories were rooted in reality. The three stories almost seemed like things that COULD happen to real people.

Its definitely no
Creepshow
, but neither was
Creepshow 2
or that third film that claims to be a
Creepshow
sequel.
After Midnight
is just a good time waster, and ultimately harmless since it ends like I used to end most of my fifth grade English creative writing stories back in the day, with the easiest ending possible.
When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.
