It's always fun to check this one out again! Great soundtrack, super 80s MTV vibe, and it fully exploited Freddy as the wisecracking jokester that part 3 set up. But still, no matter how much Love one has for it, you can't help but list all the things that make no sense whatsoever!
Inconsistencies with Part 3 -- How were Kristen, Joey and Kincaid released in the first place?? So Simms FINALLY bought into the Freddy stuff and just let them stroll out into the real world because they defeated him?
-Why was "Freddy's house" kept to look like crap in the real world? It looked like that in the Dream world in Part 3, but now, its what it looks like in the real world? What city would allow that? And how did it get so dilapidated within a span of about one year from the events of part 2?
-Why does Joey all of a sudden talk when it was supposedly his "dream power"?
-Why don't any of the "dream warriors" use their powers when he returns? They all become whiny losers and die so easily! I mean,, look at Kristen! She cries and cries when Freddy is there and finally when she actually shows some cojones and tells Freddy straight up that she is the "last", all Freddy has to do is keep urging her and she just gives up? "Ahh, screw it! Freddy's gonna be your problem now, Alice!"
Random nonsense - - The red claws on the lockers?? Cool effect but no one was dreaming and Freddy was super weak! He hadn't even got any kills yet!
- Alice day dreams so Freddy could in theory attack her, right? Say, at the funeral, Freddy could have been her Brother in disguise? Why does Freddy conveniently leave her alone here?
-From Alice's dream(trying to reach cockroach lady)until the end - Can anyone make sense of this? So Alice is supposed to meet up with Dan and Dan is outside of the Diner. Somehow, ALice falls asleep , but while asleep, she somehow makes it to the diner and her/Dan get into the truck and Freddy begins to toy with them because "we are both asleep!". Cockroach lady dies and she tries to kill Freddy, but in reality, she hits a tree. But wait, how were they REALLY in the truck driving if they were "really" asleep elsewhere? At first, I thought it was all a dream, but when they show Dan REALLY in the emergency room and he leaves the dream because of it, how the heck did all the rest happen? How did they get into that truck and drive while asleep???
Feel free to add your own! Again, not really knocking the film, but some things just don't line up and I love to hear people explain them away!

To answer your questions
Question 1 its a slasher movie who cares lol they werent dreaming off freddy anymore so they simply released them
Question 2 Again simple the majority hates part 2 so they simply ignore it as did 3 its not so much that 2 isnt cannon but its loose cannon meaning it only counts if you want it to
Question 3 Joey was all ways able to talk he simply diddnt because he was in shock from the nightmares
Question 4 They do use there dream powers kincaid pushes a car on freddy an joey dosent get a chance to use his as for kristen freddy was all ways stronger then the dream warriors he could have killed them easily in 3 if not for doctor gordon so in 4 with less warriors he simply kills them

Question 6 Freddy diddnt attack her at the funeral simply because he diddnt feel like it
Question 7 Alice never woke up from the dinner dream with freddy she simply thought she did an anything that happens in dreams freddy can make happen in reality to an extent meaning when alice gets into a truck to see dan she was also in reality in a truck an freddy made her drive in circles an dan was also a sleep an alice had pulled him in without knowing so freddy kept them in the dream world an stopped them from helping debbie
