The skull can't have been from
one of the Worms, cos it was TINY anyone know what it was supposed to be from?
Or just a slight plot hole?

Or, each generation of worm was bigger than the previous generation. From the size of the worm that would have a skull that size to the size of the worm we see in the film. As remember many years have passed since the time of the skull worm to the present day worm.

Much more than twice as big, it swallowed Lady Silvia in a single gulp after all. I was confused as well, I was expecting her to drop it down the shaft and then for the worm to come back up alive, but it was still sitting there on the ledge when the creator showed up.
