Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — The Lair of the White Worm

According to a number of reviews on Amazon there is a DVD release of Lair of the White Worm with a commentary track by Ken Russell. I've bought two different DVDs and neither had the commentary track. Does anyone know the UPC code of the release with commentary? What company? Any distinguishing comments on the front cover? I love this movie and am anxious to hear Ken Russell's comments.
    Thanks!

It's the Pioneer special edition that you're after, it took me ages to find one! eBay is your best bet.

        Just so.
        ISBN: 13023-0112-9
I believe I have two copies, one from, as you say, eBay, and the other from an (unfortunate) closure of an independent local video store.
Typically of Mr. Russell, the commentary is quite intriguing. He even explains a country breakfast.
This DVD is also true widescreen and a far superior print to the others (of which I have several).
My apologies that is the UPC..

A country breakfast? You mean the kind you make but never get round to eating cos some animal's broken free and the tractor's exploded? 🙂

Mostly the comment was about blood pudding.
            Does that count?

The new blu-ray coming out in January will have that commentary. Looks like they did a nice job remastering it, too
