Looking for two episodes

There was one episode about a man back in the 1800s who buried gold in a mountain and in the current day, when it happened, two or three men found the treasure but something happened and there was a cave-in and the U.S. Government found out about it and forbade anyone from hunting there for treasure.
There was another story I believe about two men exploring a cave and found tons of gold bars and, again, the U.S. Government barred people from the cave while they extracted the gold. There was one soldier who carved his name in a tree proving he had been there.
