Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Who's That Girl

There are actually humans intellectually challenged enough to watch this atrocity and not feel insulted. Possibly one of the ten worst "comedies" ever made. I do feel sorry for Griffin Dunne, this "film" pretty much ended his career.
Reading positive reviews here of this stinkbomb reminded me of

"Who's That Girl" is one of those movies that is so horribly bad, it is almost good in a train wreck fashion..almost

What completely frazzles my mind is- if you hate this movie so much then what compels you to blast it so half-assed AND take the time to pull up links and complete your blog, the blog that sounds like a catch phrase from the valley-girl days of the 80's anyway, with a few thousand dramatic dots leading up tooooooooo an "almost". Wow.. thank you for that. I stand corrected then from thinking Who's That Girl is one of THE best slap-stick comedy's with relations to "Bringing Up Baby" (which consequently was thought of as a flop until years later) and even giving it a run for its money. I guess now since you posted ur enthralling blog that I will think twice now, when I think I think Madonna's performance was pitch-perfect as well as the rest of the cast in a romp fashioned with a fantastic fun soundtrack, and glossed so thick in 80's fab-retro.. yeah I think me and the millions of other idiots out there that have or oh excuse me had (because of ur blog of course) that idea that for some stupid reasons that it "was" one of our favorite comedies silly me flix must just be for dixaight for the dots. Peace beee-aaatch!

No he/she is right, this movie is just plain bad.
An 80's movie is for life, not just for sleepovers

"Pretty In Punk" you should be ashamed to have that 1980s influenced screen-name. Despite that, do you "actually" think that Who's That Girl was meant to be taken seriously? Have you actually watched it and not judged it on your own comedic tastes? It's modern slap-stick and at its best. I'm sorry I'm wasting my time with you I'll let you get back to pondering film on your pineapple express while sitting alongside Juno as you scarf down a box of Napoleon Ice Cream. Just do me one favor- change your SN it makes me want to retch.

It's very said that you are trying to defend this movie. But it's really funny that everyone is bashing you for it. Queen. lol

It's one of those movies that's kind of cult, NOT because it's by all means a good movie but it's 80's madonna at her best.I mean look at her now. I just wanna weep over how boring and sad she is now. She was one sassy little fireball back then xD! Plus you don't have to look at it from a comedy perspective, I always saw it as just something in general, or an unusually long music video.

You're stupid. I thought it was a really good movie. In fact, my current hairstyle is based off Nicki Finn (Madonna) in this movie! I don't see how it was bad. Madonna was so cool in this movie. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's horrible. To come on here and post that idiotic statement makes you seem intellectually challenged. Go back to the Twilight and Justin Bieber boards, because that's where you obviously belong.

I have to agree. This movie is terrible. I will admit I kind of liked it when it first came out, but then I was 12 lol!
I still like the soundtrack, the theme song is great as are others.
I too noticed that Griffin Dunne was hardly to be seen again after this film.
Which is too bad, as it was not his fault this film was such a stinker.
He was actually very funny in some scenes.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
                      "Didn't he discover America?"
                      "Penfold, shush."
