      In the sense it was originally supposed to be a special extended edition of the original, maybe. But as for films with too much recycled footage, SLEEPAWAY CAMP IV: THE SURVIVOR takes the cake for most pointless, mainly because they had little to nothing new to work with. But they went a head anyway.

        I wouldn't exactly call it pointless. It's interesting to see how Ricky would've been effected by the experience. Even though he was only a baby when it happened he'd still feel the effects of not having a normal childhood living in the orphanage. And he'd have to watch his brother's downward spiral all those years. It would've taken a serious toll on anyone. So to me, it makes sense that he'd go a bit crazy as well.
        But I do agree it uses a bit too much footage from the first movie. It could've trimmed a lot of it out and still gotten the point across just fine. It would've been a lot shorter but less is more in this case. Still a good movie, though. I hated it the first time I watched it but it gets a little better with each viewing.
