Main Character gets by on using Google and Wikipedia..
Because this happens a lot in real life situations. The guy could be in conversations where he has no idea what anyone is talking about, but plays through the conversation with his cunning, then immediately learns what the discussions were about by Googling the details or looking them up on Wikipedia.
Or even researching on Wikipedia moments before a presentation where he later does really well.
