In a statement to Newsweek, a spokesperson for Russia Today wrote: "We already had the pleasure of working with the greats like Julian Assange and the late Larry King, and had extended an invite to President Trump in 2020, and we continue to welcome outspoken, diverse personalities on our network."
Meanwhile, Carlson was also offered a role by Vladimir Solovyov, who hosts Evening With Vladimir Solovyov on Russia-1. He wrote in a Telegram post, "Tucker, come join us. You don't have to be afraid of taking the p*** out of Biden here."

      And…?
Makes sense that they'd want to scoop him up. Rick Sanchez (former CNN host) and the late Ed Schultz (former MSNBC host) worked for RT after they were fired from their American networks. Schultz was fired from MSNBC for supporting Bernie Sanders over Hillary in 2016. MSNBC is a propaganda arm of the Democratic Party establishment.

        I agree, Carlson/Shultz are/were both political hacks.

As are Hannity, Maddow, Chris Hayes, etc. Basically, anyone with a prime time show on a corporate cable news network is a hack. Tucker was different because he started out as a hack but then he began to stray too far from the establishment narrative on certain issues and he had guests like Jimmy Dore and Glenn Greenwald on his show - truthtellers who are anathema to the MSM and its lies - and that's where he "crossed the line" and got himself in trouble.
Sanchez to his credit was always very objective in his approach and a straight-up newsman even when he worked at RT. He was never a hack.

Hannity, Maddow, nor Hayes received offers from Russian state media.
That speaks volumes to the motives of the offer toward Carlson.
