When Del and Neal are driving on the access road leaving the airport, a plane takes off behind them. Was this a total coincidence, or was that timed right? The camera stops following the car to focus on the plane, so either it was planned or the cameraman was quick-thinking when he saw the opportunity present itself.

In the mid 80s, STL was one of the busiest airports in the U.S so it's likely the camera man didn't have to wait long to get a shot of a TWA plane departing (as St. Louis was it's major hub).
Sadly, STL now operates at about half of its capacity.
