Yes i know what you are talking about, that's why my favorite movies are from the 80s.

Same here. I like a lot of movies from this century, but the late 20th century, the 80s in particular, have movies that just have that certain right "feel" to them. It can make even some of the bad movies entertaining.

Agree. Some of my favorite movies are from the 80's. Even though this is a Holiday movie you can watch it throughout the year because of the comedy, acting, and heart.

Indeed. A wonderful film from the best time period.

Hollywood doesn't make anything like they used to. Hollywood is run by cynical leftists. They make garbage these days.

Most of my fav films come from the 80s also, they just knew how to make something entertaining back then with every genre for every person and not always in a cheesy way as evidenced by this film.

This movie gets that delicate balance of humor and heart exactly right. It's both funny and touching in equal measure.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

I rewatched this one last night. A really touching movie. Martin and Candy are great together. Probably the best John Hughes film.
