It would be difficult to recreate the 80's The original has that atmosphere about it because it was made at that time I really like Downey Mc Carthy and Spader Tarantino is overrated as a Director Just because he is making it doesn't mean it will be better but we can always hope

I want to see a faithful adaptation of Less Than Zero, and this movie was not it. This movie takes the book and twists it around into something it never was: an anti-drug story. I don't care who does it, just as long as it's done right.

I'm sure Quentin Tarantino will use his genius and give us a unique and entertaining take on the novel. BTW, I'm a fan of the original version. It was really emotionally wrenching. I hope it finds an audience.

"On April 14, 2009, MTV News announced that Ellis had nearly finished Imperial Bedrooms, his seventh novel and the sequel to Less Than Zero. Ellis has revealed that the film's main characters are all still alive in the present day, and has already begun looking ahead to the possibility of a film adaptation. Ellis feels that interpreting it as a sequel to the 1987 Less Than Zero adaptation "would be a great idea" and hopes to able to reunite Downey Jr., McCarthy and Gertz should FOX option the sequel."

That's a seperate part of the page. It says Tarantino is interested in making a remake of Less Than Zero. It also says Ellis is interested in making a sequel to the Less Than Zero movie with the same actors for Imperial Bedrooms. But Tarantino is not interested in doing Imperial Bedrooms, as far as that page is concerned.

This has to be a rumor started by you or someone else as I haven't heard anything of the like involving QT. I'm not sure how I'd feel about him making it as it doesn't sound like something he'd be interested in doing, although maybe he would. It's just too dramatic for his style, no crime, no room for exaggeration.

It was stated on wikipedia, which we know isn't exactly reliable, but it's where it seems to have started. Since I haven't heard Quentin actually ever expressing interest in it or read about it elsewhere, I can't say one way or the other whether it's legit, but it's most likely not.

Well, 2009 has come and gone so it must have been a rumor. Also, when a movie is in production, there's usually a record started for it here and I don't see one. I also don't see it in the filmography listing for QT.
