Maybe you missed the beginning where Bogomil is telling Axel on the phone that he cannot make the planned fishing trip and he would have to cancel on him. The OP (and myself) are wondering why they are all suddenly best buddies after the end of the first film. We see a few pictures in Axel's place showing past fishing trips also. It seems odd that they would all get together at all, and fishing seems stupid and contrived to me.
