The son of Former Michigan US Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick the Former Mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick was released from prison back in 2021 Two years ago when President Donald Trump commuted the 28 years prison term that was handed to Kilpatrick in 2013 for numerous corruption charges. Kilpatrick served seven years of the original 28 year prison sentence that was rendered to him in 2013. Now Former Mayor Kilpatrick is a preacher now after his years in politics. But a judge from US District court Nancy Edmunds on February 2023 said that Kilpatrick owes $192,000 in debt to IRS, and he has only made only $5,000 in payments toward his restitution obligation with his supervised release early so he could travel more freely as a pastor. Mister Kilpatrick we hope you stay clear out of Trouble this time; and try to please get out of debt to the IRS.
