Lady Jane Grey was the great niece of Henry VIII. Henry's younger sister, Mary, was married to Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk and they had 3 children (I think, maybe more) one being Lady Francis Brandon, Jane Grey's mother. Jane's grandmother, Mary, Henry's sister, was said to have been drop dead beautiful! Hubby Charles, wasn't a bad looking guy, either. Jane was very pretty and her looks, no doubt, came from her Tudor and Brandon grandparents.
Jane Seymour (the Jane I believe you are thinking of) was Henry VIII's third wife and mother of Edward VI. When Edward was in his teens and King of England, many thought that it would be a good match to have Edward and Jane marry. They both were exactly the same age and defenders of the Church of England. They both got along very well, too. Edward was sick though, with TB. Right before he died, his Lord Protector, John Dudley, got Edward to change his will so that Jane, his cousin could inherit the throne, rather than his older Catholic sister, Princess Mary.
Now I have told you enough, so you MUST see the movie to learn more about Jane Grey. It is a wonderful and accurate movie and I am sure you will enjoy it!
See what a difficult situation you've created. Proud of yourself now are you?
