They do not depict the execution scene for Jane or Guildford.

It's not graphic or gory at all, although Jane's actions just before she is beheaded could be considered pretty sad and disturbing.
Hemingway once wrote, the world is a fine place, and worth fighting for. I agree with the 2nd part.

It's a very moving scene, not graphic, just tragic, especially
when you realise that this part is historically accurate. In the
scene as in life Jane knelt before the block but miscalculated
the distance, so she's groping for it and asking,"Where is it?
What do I do?" Everyone is paralysed by pity and horror but her
friend Dr Feckenham comes forward, and guides her to the right
          spot.
We see the axe lifting, Jane murmurs,"Guilford,"and the scene
fades as the axe comes down.
Of course, a girl who was dying to prove the strength of her
religious convictions would say something like,"Jesu, receive
my soul" which is what the historical Jane said. The movie
went for a more romantic moment.

Thats interesting as I first saw the film several years ago and could never remember the exact ending and was convinced that the execution scene has been omitted. Then I watched it a few months ago and discovered Bonhams final scene which was superbly done.

Yeah, but they SHOULD have shown Guildford's beheading. I mean, for a
beautiful woman to get executed, that's a tragedy, but for a man to get his
head chopped off, that's HILARIOUS, no matter how good a guy he was! And,
Guildford was so young (19) when he got chopped, that his melon would have
stayed alive a little while due to good health and vigor, and the movie-
makers could have showed his eyes moving around and stuff.
              "Could be worse."
              "Howwww?"
              "Could be raining."

Thankfully, it isn't. We don't need to see it to know what happened.
