ruth was so hot my gosh that scene in the car holy **** she could make wood get wood, lol.
i love how she says in her proper british girl way, just stop as he is touching her leg or something. so hot.
bc its so innocent like. i just found out that british people are not sexually repressed or sexually conservative tame, from watching the movie devil doll in which 3 sets of tits are shown in a movie made in 1963, unbelievable they got away with this. after watching this i'll never believe they are sexually innocent ever again.
this movie is horrible by the way, absolutely the most disturbing, harrowing, nightmare inducing, bleak, dread inducing movie ever made.
it is literally like being in a war zone with people dying all around you. and it never relents it just keeps going with the violence, depravity this movie never give you a break from the brutality and inhumanity and evil of nuclear war.

Perfect description of the film.
It's "horrible" in that it's so realistic but that's a good thing, no?
As art, it's really a great accomplishment. The film's realism, the believability of its characters whose humdrum lives are shattered by nuclear war and the excellent special effects make it quite an experience. -

wait you actually agree with me for the first time ever? this is a first. it seems like pulling teeth or finding a needle in a haystack getting you to agree with me on a movie view.
i meant horrible in a bad way bc my sickening feeling after watching it is so strong that it really disturbed me on a level that films almost never do. so yes ultimately its a good thing but not in an enjoyable way. you cant enjoy this film you just experience it and maybe stick it out til the end. so much of it i had to not watch bc i was so disturbed by it.
id even say it better than schindler's list bc i didn't have the same gut level visceral reaction to it that same palpable feeling from it as i did this film.
it also gets under your skin you cant help it bc in every person there is a level of humanity for those suffering and dying and being tortured. everyone has at least a little bit of compassion and sympathy its human nature how we are born.
