    I'm particularly baffled by picturisation of scenes where actors on the B & W screen and people in the theater are interacting, talking to each other. I'm sure these shots were taken twice - once you only shoot actors of the screen and you have to shoot again for theater people's reactions. First time with both set of persons present in real and next time you shoot with film running on the screen with only real people present in the theater for the purpose of shooting them - may be without sound because their sound is already recorded at the time of B & W shoot, so to speak.
