Me too, lol. It wasn't until I viewed this movie as an adult did I get the humor in Mickey being a criminal because he cut the tag off.

I think every kid old enough to read probably thought the same thing the first time they discovered this. I know Im not the only one. I wonder why they are there in the first place

Those tags are meant for retailers, not consumers. It's purpose is to keep keep them from selling used mattresses.
