Why was Francis's father screaming? There were two different kinds of trick gum. The one that Francis chewed turned his mouth black and the one that Mr. Buxton chewed was very hot/spicy.

I don't know how I missed that. I thought he was just overreacting(overacting) to the black stuff coming out of Francis's mouth.

No, I thought it was him screaming over Francis chewing the trick gum and not realizing it.
