Having the motel clerk identifying with Mr. Potato Head pretty much sums it up.

I've driven by that motel and it looks terrible now, it's not a hotel anymore but apartments and it's painted all green. It was filmed in Ogden, Utah which is really a toilet. They call Provo happy valley because so many people are pill poppers down there.
