The Snarfs
A race of intelligent cat-like creatures, Snarfs are plump, fuzzy and kind. They lived alongside Thunderians, in the Valley of Snarfs, until the planet was destroyed. Several escaped the destruction (forty-nine, commandeering a Mutant tanker) and traveled to a new planet, where they proclaimed it the Planet of Snarfs.
Snarfs are the only creatures in the universe incapable of evil (except while possessed). Quick and clever, a Snarf is a loyal friend, though their small size often makes them a target for Mutants or other evil creatures. The Snarfs have proved to be valuable allies to the ThunderCats in times of peril. Though their fighting skills are more than wanting, the Snarfs have an inherent invulnerability/resistance to many (but not all) forms of magic & mind-control. This ability has enabled the Snarfs to save the other Thundercats on several occasions. Snarf are known to end their sentences with the phrase, "snarf, snarf!" -

i thought he was an ok character, i alwaly loved him in the intro sequence when the others looked called to battle and he legs it on the opposite direction. had his faults but was the voice of reason in many occasions and often saved the day, only to have everyone else laugh at him in the endbastards that they were

I think Snarf is great - and I'm going to admit here, there's a scene in "Snarf Takes Up The Challenge" that makes me well up. I don't actually cry when I see it, but I want to. Oddly, it didn't affect me as a child, but seeing it as an adult, it gets me every time. It's when he's saying to Roberbill that he doesn't have any of the specific abilities of the others, and proceeds to list the examples. And he's right, he doesn't have those abilities. But he manages to save the others with the abilities he does have. Beautiful.

He had his momements and was a lot better than Snarfer but no, he was not my favorite by any means. Bob McFadden did a great job with his voice though, that must have been murder on his throat.

Snarf's voice murder on the throat? Not really - and I speak as someone who has read a whole Thundercats story (from one of the annuals) out loud to an audience. Snarf's voice was no problem. It was MUMM-RA's voice that was the killer!

Snarf's cool, but he gets injected into the main plot of the episodes far too often. I'd rather Snarf was more like an actual cat, kind of aloof and in the background, but there when you need him.
