He comes off like a dumb ass having to get advice about girls from the freshman geek whos never even had a girl.
Thats what i love about these high school girls, i get older they stay the same age.

Sure Farmer Ted was a virgin and in all likelihood Jake was not, but the funny thing about that scene is you realize that Farmer Ted actually understands women better than Jake does.
Looking back at mu high school years, the guys we thought were studs and looked up to really did not know st. This scene captures that fact perfectly.

Cause Nerd, not being a handsome stud like Jake, was friend zoned by girls so he understood them better.
Jake wasn't that guy. He was a looker that girls wanted to be with and bang. Those guys don't understand women past the bedroom.

I think he just wanted a different perspective because the girls he normally dates are superficial.
