Reading through some of the reviews it looks like a lot of people from India were taking this movie seriously? Kinda weird to me. I mean eveyone knows that indians don't eat monkeys brains and eyeball soup and all that.. I don't get how anyone would watch this movie and take it serious?
And what about the other indiana jones movies? I've never seen Germans getting all offended about the Nazis in the other movies and stuff like that.
People are so freaking sensitive nowadays lol. IT seems like many people nowadays go around looking for things to get offended about so they can get up on their soapbox and complain on the internet.

Not many American or British movies use India as a location. This may be from a longstanding sensitivity of Indians about the portrayal of their culture, history and living conditions.
      It isn't just nowadays.
      Temple of Doom
ran into that sensitivity and had to switch to Sri Lanka and Elstree Studios, England (for Pankot Palace exteriors).

      The story is king.
