Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Children of the Corn

watching it today compared to the 80s I can see all the things that could've made it so much more. I would've loved more to the back story showing how the children were enticed by the deity and how they set up and executed their plan of killing all the adults. Showing that in flashbacks would've been cool about halfway into the movie. Issac and Malachai didn't have enough screen time. The ending could've had more to the fight and been about 10 minutes longer. Regardless still a good movie even today. The little girl playing Sarah was extremely cute while I thought all the other kids were extremely ugly. But I think that was done on purpose. Because of Malachai being a red head all the kids would call red heads from then on out Malachai. I would hear down the hall at school every now and then over the next 3 or so years "Malachai" yelled by someone. Lol

I don't think we needed to see them planning their murder of the adults. It works so much better that we don't know how they did it. All that matters is they succeeded.
So many stories, so little time.
